DEKA Tetra PRO

Tetra PRO is a DEKA CO2 laser at 10,600 nm. Cartessa Aesthetics distributes it in the United States, and the FDA cleared it as the SmartXide Tetra PRO under K240497 on March 12, 2024. The 510(k) summary describes a 40 W source and an articulated arm built from seven mirrors on rotating knuckles, which carries the beam to a handpiece or scanner. The summary lists a weight of about 62 kg and a 100 to 230 V supply. Cartessa says the system launched globally in 2024 and names the SmartXide Tetra and DOT lasers as predecessors with less power and a smaller scanning area.

The clearance lists 0.2 and 0.4 mm handpiece spots, pulse durations from 0.02 to 70 ms, and repetition rates from 5 to 100 Hz. It also lists a scanner spot of 350 microns at a 100 mm focal length. DEKA's Pulse Shape Design gives the operator S-Pulse, D-Pulse, H-Pulse and continuous wave modes. CoolPeel is a treatment protocol run with the H-Pulse setting, not a separate device. DEKA lists three scanning accessories: the DOT PRO (Hi-Scan DOT) scanner with a 20 by 20 mm maximum area, the Scar 3 PRO, and the Derma Scan, which pairs with 4 and 7 inch focus handpieces and an integrated smoke evacuator. Cartessa also describes a Moveo in-motion setting.

A Tetra PRO differs from the original Tetra mainly in power and scanner size, so the model label is the quickest check. DEKA also sells a Tetra PRO GYN configuration in its intimate health line, and the SmartXide Touch and Punto belong to a different SmartXide family.

When you sell a Tetra PRO, name every scanner and handpiece that comes with it. Buyers will ask whether the DOT PRO scanner is working, whether the Scar 3 PRO or Derma Scan is included, what software version the unit runs, and what shape the arm is in, along with its service records.
