The DEKA Again PRO is a dual wavelength laser with a 755 nm alexandrite source and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG source in one cabinet. DEKA launched it at the World Congress of Dermatology in July 2023 as the successor to the Again. The FDA cleared the DEKA AGAIN PRO family under K233090 on October 27, 2023, for hair removal and permanent hair reduction on Fitzpatrick skin types I to VI, benign pigmented and vascular lesions and wrinkles, with pseudofolliculitis barbae and red pigmentation in hypertrophic and keloid scars added at 1064 nm.
Energy travels through a user replaceable fiber to quick release handpieces that the console identifies electronically. DEKA lists up to 13 standard handpieces from 2.5 to 30 mm with a connector for external air cooling, plus four Moveo contact handpieces: HR for hair, PL for pigmented lesions, SR for skin rejuvenation and VL for vascular redness. The clearance lists pulses of 0.2 to 300 ms and repetition rates up to 12 Hz.
The FDA filing names the Synchro REPLA:Y as predicate and describes a new chassis, covers and interface, added spot sizes and the removal of the pulsed light FT handpiece. The original Again also reaches 30 mm, so spot range alone will not separate the generations. The Again PRO PLUS shares the handpiece range but is rated by DEKA at up to 25 kW peak power. AccessGUDID records the US Again PRO as model M126AA1.
A full kit has many loose parts, so list each standard handpiece by spot size and each Moveo by its suffix. Buyers will ask about the delivery fiber and whether it has been replaced, the sapphire faces of the Moveo handpieces, and whether an air cooling unit is included. Have the service history and software version ready, and photograph the serial label, home screen and every handpiece label.
