DEKA Again

DEKA Again is a laser platform that combines a 755 nm alexandrite source with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG source for hair removal and dermatology work. DEKA's product page lists up to 13 selectable standard handpieces with automatic spot recognition, covering spot sizes from 2.5 mm to 30 mm, along with four Moveo handpieces. A DEKA press release from July 2023 states that the Again won a 2022 AMWC award in the laser, light and energy based device category.

Moveo HR is for hair removal, Moveo PL for benign pigmented lesions, Moveo SR for skin rejuvenation and Moveo VL for superficial vascular redness. They work in contact with the skin and are moved in repeated passes. The standard handpieces, which include a 30 mm handpiece, are used for hair removal and pigmented lesions and have an ergonomic connector for an external air cooling device. DEKA also lists onychomycosis and pseudofolliculitis barbae among its applications.

Two details help place an Again. The 30 mm spot is the plainest hardware difference from the Motus AY and Motus AZ, whose cleared standard handpieces stop at 20 mm. DEKA also launched a successor, the Again PRO, at the World Congress of Dermatology in Singapore in July 2023. The FDA cleared the DEKA AGAIN PRO family under K233090 on October 27, 2023, listing spots from 2.5 to 30 mm and repetition rates up to 12 Hz. The FDA 510(k) database shows no separate clearance under the original Again name, so US buyers will check which version is on the label.

List every standard handpiece by spot size and every Moveo handpiece by its two letter suffix, because a complete Again kit includes many separate parts and a full inventory is the first thing a buyer asks for. Expect questions about the delivery fiber and the Moveo contact surfaces. Provide the service history and software version, and photograph the serial label and handpiece selection screen.
