DEKA DenaVe

DenaVe is a compact 585 nm laser that sends its beam down an optical fiber. DEKA describes the source as a solid state laser built on FSOPS, short for frequency shifted optically pumped semiconductor, technology, and stresses that it is not a dye laser, although 585 nm is a wavelength long tied to pulsed dye systems. Cartessa Aesthetics introduced DenaVe to the US market in June 2018, saying it was built exclusively for Cartessa and emits in continuous or pulsed mode.

In FDA records the device goes by its wavelength. Quanta System, another El.En. group laser maker, received clearance K172198 on October 17, 2017, for a device named 585, cleared for benign vascular and benign pigmented lesions. The summary describes a touch screen panel, an SMA 905 fiber connector, footswitch activation and rear sockets for a remote interlock. AccessGUDID lists DenaVe as a Quanta System product, model PDMS00253, and lists an OptiScan scanner, model OAM001857, under the same clearance.

OptiScan is the integrated scanner DEKA pairs with DenaVe for larger areas, and Cartessa describes selectable fill modes, several scan shapes, adjustable area size and variable spot pitch. Because FDA and GUDID records name Quanta System and 585 rather than DEKA, sellers sometimes misidentify the unit. The DenaVe name, the PDMS00253 model number and the 585 nm marking together pin it down. AccessGUDID marks the DenaVe record as out of US commercial distribution from July 7, 2026, while DEKA's site still lists the product, so buyers will ask about parts and service support where the unit sits.

The fiber is the first thing a buyer inspects: the SMA connector, the jacket along its length and the output end. State whether the OptiScan scanner comes with the system, and whether the footswitch and interlock plug are present. Have the service history and software version ready, and photograph the serial label, the startup screen and the scanner label.
