DEKA RedTouch PRO

RedTouch PRO is a DEKA laser that emits at 675 nm, a red wavelength that DEKA says acts on dermal collagen rather than on water in the skin. It creates fractional microzones of thermal damage under 1 mm in diameter, delivered through a handpiece with an integrated scanner, with integrated cooling for the epidermis. DEKA lists benign pigmented lesions, melasma, photorejuvenation and alopecia among its applications.

DEKA presented RedTouch PRO at the 25th World Congress of Dermatology in Singapore in July 2023, alongside Again PRO and Onda PRO, as part of a new PRO line. The same announcement introduced Moveo RED, an in-motion modality for the system that DEKA positions for darker skin types, and ReLive, a set of preventive skin protocols. DEKA's product page says the Moveo modality shortens treatment time and extends use to tanned skin.

The original RedTouch is the model a seller is most likely to confuse it with. Both use 675 nm and a scanning handpiece, and DEKA describes the PRO as the evolution of RedTouch, with changes to power, energy transmission and cooling, though it publishes no side by side figures. DEKA's page for the original RedTouch does not list a Moveo modality, so a Moveo handpiece or a Moveo option on the screen points to the PRO. Otherwise the model name on the cabinet label and the startup screen settles it. US sellers should know that the FDA 510(k) database lists no clearance under the RedTouch name, which a US buyer will raise when reviewing the paperwork.

Before making an offer, a buyer will look at the scanner handpiece first: the output window, the cooling contact surface and the cable. Say whether a Moveo handpiece is included. Provide the service history, the software version and the country where the unit was originally sold. Photos of the serial label, the startup screen and each handpiece help a dealer confirm which RedTouch generation you own.
