DEKA RedTouch
Sell your used DEKA RedTouch.
RedTouch is a DEKA laser emitting red light at 675 nm. DEKA describes it as the first system built on this wavelength and says the 675 nm beam is chosen to act on dermal collagen rather than on water in the skin, which is the target of most resurfacing lasers. The beam is delivered in a fractional pattern of thermal microzones under 1 mm across, and an integrated cooling system protects the epidermis. DEKA lists benign pigmented lesions, melasma, photorejuvenation and alopecia as applications.
The system is built around a single handpiece with an integrated scanner, which DEKA designed for energy transfer and ergonomics. In North America, Cartessa Aesthetics distributes RedTouch exclusively in Canada and notes that treatments use no consumables. The openFDA 510(k) database shows no clearance under the RedTouch name, and AccessGUDID returns no RedTouch record, so a buyer in the United States will ask where the unit was originally sold and what regulatory documents came with it.
The model a seller is most likely to mix it up with is RedTouch PRO, which DEKA launched at the World Congress of Dermatology in Singapore in July 2023. DEKA calls the PRO the evolution of RedTouch, with changes to power, energy transmission and cooling, and it adds a Moveo in-motion modality and the ReLive treatment protocols. DEKA's page for the original RedTouch lists neither, so a Moveo option on the screen or a Moveo handpiece means the unit is a PRO. Both use 675 nm and a scanning handpiece, so the model name on the cabinet label and the startup screen is the dependable check.
Because the handpiece is the whole delivery system, a buyer will examine its output window, the contact cooling surface and the cable for damage. Report any error messages and confirm the cooling holds during use. Provide the service history, the installed software version and the country of original sale, and photograph the serial label, the startup screen and the handpiece.
