DEKA Motus PRO

The Motus PRO is the current dual wavelength member of DEKA's Motus line, combining a 755 nm alexandrite laser with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. The FDA cleared the MOTUS PRO family under K241459 on June 21, 2024, with the Motus AZ as primary predicate and the Again PRO family as reference device. The filing lists a restyled chassis, covers and interface, new spot sizes, changed pulse durations, a higher maximum alexandrite fluence and a faster repetition rate.

Energy reaches the skin through a user replaceable fiber and quick release handpieces with electronic spot recognition. DEKA lists 12 standard handpieces from 2.5 to 24 mm and four Moveo handpieces: HR, PL, SR and VL. The clearance gives stamp fluence up to 600 J/cm2 at both wavelengths, Moveo fluence up to 40 J/cm2 at 755 nm and 50 J/cm2 at 1064 nm, Moveo spots of 7 and 14 mm, pulse durations of 0.2 to 300 ms and repetition up to 12 Hz. Cartessa promotes MoveoGlo, a facial protocol combining the VL, SR and PL handpieces.

The family includes an alexandrite only version, the Motus PRO AX, which AccessGUDID lists as model M130P1, against M130N1 for the dual wavelength Motus PRO. Against the Motus AZ+, the quickest hardware check is spot size: the AZ+ stamp handpieces stop at 20 mm and it runs at up to 10 Hz, so 22 or 24 mm handpieces point to a PRO. The Again PRO, a sibling platform, reaches 30 mm.

List each stamp handpiece by spot size and each Moveo by suffix, and say whether the unit has the 1064 nm source or is the AX version. Buyers will inspect the sapphire tips of the Moveo handpieces and the delivery fiber, and ask for the service history and software version. Photograph the serial label with its model number and the home screen.
