DEKA Again PRO PLUS

Again PRO PLUS is the highest powered member of DEKA's Again family, combining a 755 nm alexandrite laser with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser in a single console. DEKA presents it as a development of the Again PRO with higher power, rated at up to 25 kW peak, and with pulses intended for fine, light colored hair and vascular work. DEKA lists hair removal, benign pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, photorejuvenation, onychomycosis and pseudofolliculitis barbae as applications.

The accessory set follows the Again PRO. DEKA offers up to 13 standard handpieces from 2.5 to 30 mm with automatic spot recognition and a connector for an external air cooling device. Four Moveo handpieces stay in contact with the skin and are moved in repeated passes rather than fired in single stamps: HR for hair removal, PL for pigmented lesions, SR for skin rejuvenation and VL for superficial vascular redness.

Because the PRO and PRO PLUS share wavelengths, spot range and Moveo options, the accessories will not reveal which model a practice owns. The model name on the cabinet label and startup screen settles it. The original Again came first and was succeeded by the Again PRO at the World Congress of Dermatology in July 2023. In the United States the FDA cleared the DEKA AGAIN PRO family under K233090 in October 2023, and AccessGUDID lists an AGAIN PRO record, model M126AA1, but none under the PRO PLUS name, so a US buyer will look closely at the label and the paperwork that came with the unit.

Before quoting, a dealer will want a full inventory: each standard handpiece by spot size, each Moveo by suffix, the delivery fiber and any air cooling unit. Describe the sapphire tip on every Moveo, say whether the fiber has been replaced, and have the service history and software version on hand. Photos of the serial label, main screen and handpiece labels confirm the PLUS designation.
