Candela Vbeam Prima
Sell your used Candela Vbeam Prima.

The Vbeam Prima is a Candela pulsed dye laser that pairs the familiar 595 nm dye laser with a second, flashlamp excited 1064 nm Nd:YAG source. FDA cleared it under 510(k) K180593 on June 5, 2018, and Candela announced the system that July. A later clearance, K230990 from June 1, 2023, added pediatric indications at 595 nm for port wine stains and infantile and congenital hemangiomas. The 595 nm channel is cleared for benign vascular lesions such as facial and leg telangiectasia, rosacea, warts, scars, striae, wrinkles, benign pigmented lesions and inflammatory acne. The 1064 nm channel is cleared for coagulation and hemostasis of benign vascular lesions, several benign pigmented lesions, and periocular and perioral wrinkles.
FDA filings describe handpieces with Candela's Dynamic Cooling Device, a cryogen spray, covering 3 to 15 mm through distance gauges plus a 3 x 10 mm elliptical spot, and an optional EverCool contact cooling zoom handpiece spanning 3 to 15 mm. Candela's launch material cited once a day calibration and longer dye life.
Telling a Prima from its relatives starts with the wavelength menu. The Vbeam Perfecta fires 595 nm only and tops out at a 12 mm spot, using 3, 5, 7, 10 and 12 mm plus 3 x 10 mm. The Vbeam Pro, launched in 2025, also offers 595 nm and 1064 nm with a 15 mm maximum, so the model name on the serial label and startup screen is the reliable check. The 2023 filing lists the Prima console at 280 pounds on 200 to 240 VAC single phase power.
A buyer pricing a Prima will ask when the dye kit was last replaced and how many pulses it has fired since, whether daily calibration passes on both wavelengths, and what the pulse counter shows. List each handpiece, its distance gauges and the cooling type, note the cryogen canister status, and include photos of the serial label and the calibration screen.
