Cynosure Potenza

Potenza is a radiofrequency microneedling system sold by Cynosure and manufactured by Jeisys Medical of Seoul, which holds its FDA clearances. The first, K192545, was decided on February 20, 2020, and Cynosure announced the device later that month as a four mode system: monopolar or bipolar radiofrequency, each at 1 MHz or 2 MHz. In monopolar mode the current flows from the needle tip to a neutral pad on the patient, and in bipolar mode it passes between neighboring needles in the tip. The original console shipped with a motor handpiece that took six electrode tips and an AC handpiece with three needle tips, including a single needle tip. Cynosure markets semi insulated needles under the Tiger Tip name. Later clearances added tips: K201685 in January 2021 added C21-1, C21-2, CP-21 and C9, K231216 in December 2024 added CP-16, CP-25 and CP-49, and K231287 in November 2024 added an S handpiece with non invasive DDR, SFA and Diamond tips. Every Potenza tip is a sterile single use part, so tips are a running cost.

Owners should know that a separate model, Potenza Prime, was cleared in September 2026. FDA's summary says Prime runs at 1 MHz only, while Potenza runs at 1 MHz and 2 MHz, and Prime ships with a different set of tips. If your screen offers a 2 MHz setting, you have the original Potenza. The S handpiece was cleared in late 2024, so list which handpieces you have.

List every handpiece with its condition and the state of its cable and connector, and note whether you have the neutral pad cable for monopolar work. Unopened tips are worth listing with their model codes and expiry dates, since tips carry a stated shelf life. A buyer will also want the software version, service history and photos of the serial label, main screen and each handpiece.
