Cynosure MedLite C6
Sell your used Cynosure MedLite C6.

The MedLite C6 is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that produces nanosecond pulses at 1064 nm and, through frequency doubling, 532 nm. It was cleared by FDA under K014234 on January 17, 2002, filed by Continuum Electro-Optics as the replacement for the MedLite IV, with the original MedLite and the MedLite C3 also named as predicates. The clearance covers tattoo removal, vascular and pigmented lesions, soft tissue procedures in general dermatology, and hair removal or lightening. Cynosure's current product page describes a flat top beam profile.
Extra wavelengths come from handpieces rather than the console. Cynosure lists MultiLite dye handpieces at 585 nm and 650 nm for tattoo colors that the base wavelengths do not address, and a 532Lite handpiece for small pigmented lesions at low fluence. A 2006 clearance, K060977, added a compression tool that attaches to the MedLite MultiSpot handpiece on C series lasers. FDA's device identifier database lists separate 115 volt and 220 volt C6 laser assemblies, models 659-0020-1 and 659-0030-1, and a C6 dye handpiece kit.
Ownership changes explain the many names on these units. The MedLite line began at Continuum Biomedical, whose ConBio MedLite was cleared in 1992, and later filings came from Continuum Electro-Optics, HOYA Photonics and HOYA ConBio. Cynosure bought HOYA ConBio's aesthetic laser business in June 2011, including the MedLite C6 and the RevLite, which Cynosure described as a more powerful version of the MedLite. Older consoles may carry ConBio or HOYA ConBio badges, and earlier models such as the MedLite IV, C3 and C1 are different systems, so read the model on the label.
A buyer will want the shot count, the date of the last flashlamp and service visit, and the condition of the beam delivery. List each handpiece by wavelength and spot size, including any MultiLite dye handpieces and the 532Lite, and note whether the dye handpieces have been serviced. Photograph the label, voltage rating and main screen.
