Cynosure MonaLisa Touch
Sell your used Cynosure MonaLisa Touch.

MonaLisa Touch is a fractional carbon dioxide laser treatment for the vaginal mucosa developed by DEKA, the laser brand of the Italian group El.En. The laser works at 10,600 nm. DEKA dates the therapy to 2010 and delivers the energy to the vaginal wall through a dedicated scanner that places a pattern of small spots. Cynosure's annual reports describe it as delivering short ablative CO2 pulses to the vaginal wall.
Cynosure did not build the laser. In November 2014 it signed an exclusive agreement with El.En. to market and distribute the MonaLisa Touch line in North America, buying the systems from El.En., and its filings say the device received FDA marketing clearance in September 2014. The clearance from that month is K133895, issued to El.En. on September 5, 2014 for the DEKA SmartXide2, a 60 watt CO2 laser that sends its beam through an articulated arm to an accessory on the distal end. Its indications list soft tissue work across many specialties, gynecology and genitourinary surgery among them, plus ablative skin resurfacing with the scanning unit.
Because the console is a SmartXide2, sellers often know the system by either name, and the serial plate is the reliable guide to who built it. A unit sold in North America after 2014 will usually carry Cynosure invoices and training records even though the laser itself comes from El.En. Note which delivery accessories came with yours: the dedicated vaginal scanner is what makes the system a MonaLisa Touch, while a skin scanning unit or other accessory on the articulated arm points to broader SmartXide2 use.
Dealers pricing a MonaLisa Touch ask for the console serial label, the software screen, the condition of the articulated arm and its joints, and photos of every probe and scanner. Include the service log, any record of laser source work, and who has serviced the unit, whether Cynosure, DEKA or an independent engineer.
