Lutronic PicoPlus
Sell your used Lutronic PicoPlus.

PicoPlus is a Lutronic Nd:YAG laser that delivers both picosecond and nanosecond pulses through an articulated arm. FDA cleared the PICOPLUS Laser System under K173700 on June 19, 2018. The US clearance covers 1064 nm and 532 nm at a 450 picosecond pulse and a 2 nanosecond pulse, with maximum pulse energy of 800 mJ at 1064 nm and 300 mJ at 532 nm. Distributor material outside the US describes a four wavelength configuration that adds 595 nm and 660 nm, and a Lutronic sponsored US study compared those two wavelengths on pigmented lesions of the hands.
The 2018 summary lists two handpiece groups. Handpiece 1 covers smaller spots, 3 to 6 mm at 1064 nm in picosecond mode, and Handpiece 2 covers larger ones, 6 to 10 mm at 1064 nm and 4.3 to 8 mm at 532 nm. Cleared indications depend on wavelength and pulse width. At 1064 nm the list includes black, brown, green, blue and purple tattoo ink on skin types I to VI and benign pigmented lesions, and at 532 nm it includes red, yellow and orange ink on skin types I to III.
Because PicoPlus fires both picosecond and nanosecond pulses, a seller might take it for a Spectra or Hollywood Spectra, which are nanosecond Q-switched lasers. The 450 picosecond setting on the pulse width menu identifies a PicoPlus. The US clearance covers only 1064 nm and 532 nm, so 595 nm or 660 nm handpieces point to a unit configured for another market.
Tell a buyer which handpieces come with the system and at which wavelengths and spot sizes, since two consoles can differ a great deal. Give the shot count, the software version, any recent alignment work on the articulated arm and the service history. Photos of the serial label, the pulse mode screen and each handpiece's markings help the buyer confirm the configuration.
