Lutronic Action II

The Lutronic Action II is an erbium:YAG laser that emits pulsed light at 2940 nm. FDA cleared it in May 2017 under K163196, naming the Bios Superbium and the Asclepion MCL 31 Dermablate as predicates. The 510(k) summary describes a laser fired by footswitch, an articulated arm that carries the beam to a handpiece, an LCD touch screen for setting parameters, and an aiming beam that runs coincident with the treatment beam.

The clearance gives two sets of indications. The system as a whole is cleared for coagulation, vaporization, ablation or cutting of skin across dermatology, plastic surgery, oral surgery, ENT, gynecology, general surgery, podiatry and the skin around the eyes. Buyers will ask whether the articulated arm has been dropped or bent and when the beam alignment was last checked. Include the service history, any error codes that appear on the screen, and photos of the serial label, the main screen and each handpiece.
