Hollywood Spectra is Lutronic's Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, producing 1064 nm directly and 532 nm through a KTP crystal, with delivery through an articulated arm. FDA cleared it under K213569 on February 4, 2022, with Lutronic's earlier SPECTRA laser as the primary predicate. The 510(k) summary lists a Q-switched mode with 5 to 10 ns pulses at both wavelengths, Q-PTP, Q-3 and Q-4 modes at 1064 nm, and a long pulse Spectra mode at 0.3 ms. Pulse energy reaches 1200 mJ in Q-switched mode and 1500 mJ in Spectra mode at 1064 nm, and 400 mJ at 532 nm, at up to 10 Hz.

The clearance describes a zoom handpiece covering 1 to 7 mm at 1064 nm, an 8 mm zoom collimated handpiece, a microbeam handpiece with dual focused dots, and dye converter handpieces at 585 and 650 nm. FDA's device database adds a fractional handpiece, 2 mm dye handpieces at 585 and 650 nm and a Gold Toning handpiece that is a 5 mm 585 nm dye unit. Cynosure Lutronic markets the Hollywood Laser Peel and AcnePeel as treatments performed in Spectra mode.

The plain SPECTRA is the model most often confused with this one. The 2022 summary shows Hollywood Spectra adding the Q-PTP, Q-3 and Q-4 modes and the microbeam handpiece, and lowering the 532 nm Q-switched maximum to 400 mJ from 600 mJ on the older SPECTRA. FDA's device database lists US Hollywood Spectra consoles in SL, ST and OP versions, while older systems appear as SPECTRA SL.

Give the SL, ST or OP code from the data plate, then list every handpiece, noting the dye handpieces and the Gold Toning handpiece separately because they are optional. A dealer will also ask for the shot count, the software version, the condition of the articulated arm and the date of the last service visit, with photos of the label and the mode screen.

These ranges come from current asking prices on the open market rather than completed sales.
