Lutronic Clarity II

The Clarity II is a long pulse laser from Lutronic, now sold by Cynosure Lutronic, that houses two resonators in one console: a 755 nm alexandrite and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG. Both outputs share one fiber and handpiece. FDA cleared the CLARITY II Laser System under K183566 on June 14, 2019. The clearance covers hair reduction at both wavelengths plus benign pigmented lesions, vascular lesions and wrinkles, and the 1064 nm side adds pseudofolliculitis barbae across Fitzpatrick skin types I to VI.

The 510(k) summary lists spot sizes of 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 mm, pulse durations from 0.1 to 300 ms and a maximum fluence of 600 J/cm² at both wavelengths. There are two handpiece types. The ICD handpiece works with Lutronic's Intelligent Cooling Device, which uses cryogen, and the AC handpiece is meant for an external chilled air unit. Spot size is set by interchangeable cartridges, and the tip choices are O type, C type and I type tips plus the IntelliTrak roller, which senses rolling speed and gives the operator a selectable pulse overlap.

The 2019 summary names two features the older CLARITY LPC did not have: a skin temperature readout, shown for information only, and the IntelliTrak tracking tip. The Clarity II also added 16, 22 and 24 mm spots and pulses as short as 0.1 ms, where the first generation started at 0.35 ms and stopped at 20 mm. A 24 mm spot on the screen or IntelliTrak rollers in the box point to a Clarity II.

For an offer, state whether your unit has the ICD or AC handpiece, because one depends on cryogen canisters and the other on a separate chiller. List each cartridge by spot size and each roller. FDA's device database marks the IntelliTrak tip as single use. Add the pulse count, service records, fiber condition and photos of the serial label and main screen.
