Lutronic DermaV

DermaV is a Lutronic laser workstation built around one Nd:YAG resonator that emits at 1064 nm and, through a KTP crystal, at 532 nm. FDA cleared it under K203788 on March 26, 2021, with the Clarity II as the primary predicate for the 1064 nm side and Cutera's CoolGlide family as the secondary predicate for 532 nm. Lutronic announced the rollout in late October 2021 as a workstation for vascular, pigment and rejuvenation work. Both wavelengths and the aiming beam share one optical fiber and handpiece, and cooling comes from Lutronic's cryogen based Intelligent Cooling Device.

The 510(k) summary gives maximum pulse energy of 100 J at 1064 nm and 13.5 J at 532 nm, pulse widths of 0.1 to 60 ms and 0.3 to 40 ms, maximum fluence of 300 and 50 J/cm², and repetition rates of 0.5 to 10 Hz. Spot sizes run from 2 to 16 mm. FDA's device database shows the handpiece taking interchangeable cartridges across that range plus a 3 by 10 mm fractional cartridge, along with a roller set and an O type tip. Cleared uses include vascular and benign pigmented lesions at both wavelengths, red and green ink at 532 nm, and hair reduction and dark ink at 1064 nm.

DermaV shares its architecture with the Clarity II. The second wavelength is the real difference: Clarity II pairs 1064 nm with a 755 nm alexandrite, while DermaV pairs it with 532 nm. The aiming beam also differs. The summary lists it at 635 nm, a red beam, against 515 to 535 nm, a green beam, on the Clarity II.

Name every cartridge size and say whether the fractional cartridge and roller set are included. Confirm that the ICD is present and working, and give the date of its last cryogen canister change. Buyers also want the pulse count, the software version, the fiber's condition and photos of the serial label and the main screen.
