See what it's worth

The eCO2 Plus is a Lutronic CO2 laser that uses an RF excited CO2 module to produce a 10.6 micrometer beam, delivered through an articulated arm to fractional or conventional handpieces. FDA cleared it under K100610 on January 20, 2011, in a single submission that also covered the DENTA III and DENTA III+ dental lasers and the SP III surgical laser. Its predicate was Lutronic's original eCO2, cleared in October 2009 under K091115. The later eCO2 3D clearance lists the Plus at 30 W with a 637 nm aiming beam.

Two families of handpiece fit the system. The fractionated handpieces come in 120 and 300 micron spot sizes and are cleared for ablation, resurfacing and coagulation of soft tissue. The non-fractionated handpieces, the F100, F50 and Zoom, are cleared for surgical ablation, vaporization, excision, incision and coagulation across specialties that include dermatology, plastic surgery, podiatry, gynecology and ENT. FDA's device database lists an eCO2 PLUS (USA) body, a matching arm and footswitch, and SP III handpiece sets in standard, Zoom and Micro versions.

Lutronic sold several similarly named CO2 consoles. The SP III and DENTA III from the same clearance have no fractional handpiece, and only the eCO2 Plus and DENTA III+ carry one. The original 2009 eCO2 predates the Plus. The 2025 eCO2 3D is the successor: it runs at 40 W, uses a green aiming beam and stands about 1,931 mm tall, against roughly 1,170 mm for the eCO2 Plus.

The platform dates to 2011, so report when the CO2 module was last serviced or replaced, how the articulated arm tracks through its range and whether the aiming beam lines up with the treatment beam. Say which fractional and surgical handpieces are included and note any damaged lenses. Photos of the data plate, the main screen and each handpiece confirm whether the console is an eCO2 Plus or a sibling model.
