InMode Optimas
Sell your used InMode Optimas.
The InMode Optimas is a multi technology workstation that combines diode lasers, intense pulsed light and bipolar radiofrequency in one console. InMode's 2019 IPO prospectus dates the platform to 2016 and lists six handpieces for it: Fractora, Forma, Lumecca, DiolazeXL, Vasculaze and Morpheus8. The FDA device database carries it as InMode System 2, color 1, Optimas, model AG606991A.
Each handpiece brings its own energy source and its own clearance. DiolazeXL, introduced in 2017, is an 810 nm diode laser with a 12 mm by 26 mm spot and triple contact cooling, cleared for hair removal and permanent hair reduction under K170738. Vasculaze, introduced in 2018, is a 1064 nm diode laser with a 3 mm by 4 mm spot, cleared for benign vascular lesions under K173677. Lumecca is a xenon flash lamp IPL sold as Lumecca 515 and Lumecca 580, filtering from 515 nm or 580 nm up to 1200 nm through a 30 mm by 10 mm window. Forma is a non invasive bipolar RF handpiece. Fractora and Morpheus8 deliver RF through arrays of coated pins on consumable tips, and the prospectus lists Fractora clearances for 60 pin and 24 pin tips.
Several handpieces moved between InMode consoles, which makes an Optimas easy to confuse with its successor. The OptimasMAX, launched in 2024, uses renamed versions of the same lasers and IPL. The OptimasMAX clearance notes that its handpieces switched from white to black housings, so white laser and IPL handpieces point to the original Optimas. Older labeling and some resale listings call the vascular handpiece VLaze instead of Vasculaze.
A buyer's offer depends mostly on which handpieces are in the box. List every one by name, including the Lumecca filter versions and the DiolazeXL wavelength, and note shot or pulse counts where the screen shows them. Photograph the serial label, the main screen and each handpiece connector, and include service history and any unopened Fractora or Morpheus8 tips.
