See what it's worth

The InMode Contoura is a non invasive body contouring console that uses bipolar radiofrequency, in some handpieces combined with vacuum. InMode's 2019 IPO prospectus lists Contoura as introduced in 2017, with three handpieces: BodyFX, MiniFX and Plus. Its FDA GUDID record calls the console Contoura, InModeRF Color 3, Black-Blue, catalog number AG606970A.

BodyFX and MiniFX, both introduced in 2013, pull tissue into a vacuum cavity and then apply bipolar RF. The prospectus describes a cavity 0.5 inch deep and 2 by 1 inches for BodyFX, and a chamber of roughly 1 by 1 inch for MiniFX, which is meant for smaller areas. Plus is a non invasive RF handpiece that monitors temperature, delivers up to 65 watts and covers 45 mm by 45 mm. The FDA clearances listed for the platform are K131362 for BodyFX in October 2013, K160329 for MiniFX in August 2016, and K172302 for Plus in December 2017. The BodyFX and MiniFX clearances include temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

GUDID lists Contoura and BodyTite as color variants of the same InMode RF console, so the two are easy to confuse. The BodyTite version is listed in GUDID as Color 2, Black-Grey, and runs minimally invasive handpieces such as BodyTite, FaceTite and AccuTite. A black and blue console with vacuum cavity handpieces such as BodyFX or MiniFX is a Contoura. A console with cannula handpieces is a BodyTite or a related RFAL platform.

Most of a Contoura's value is in its handpieces, so list each one and its condition. Buyers will look at vacuum performance, the condition of the cavity rims and electrodes on BodyFX and MiniFX, and the Plus contact surface. Share the software version, service records and any error history, and send photos of the serial label, the main screen and each handpiece connector.
