InMode BodyTite

BodyTite is InMode's original platform for radiofrequency assisted lipolysis, usually shortened to RFAL. The system heats fat and connective tissue from inside with a cannula electrode while an external electrode rides on the skin surface, and the console tracks tissue temperature and impedance. InMode's 2019 IPO prospectus dates the BodyTite platform and handpiece to 2010 and says FDA clearance for its RFAL technology came in 2016.

The platform takes several minimally invasive handpieces. The BodyTite handpiece uses a 17 cm cannula and treats to a depth of up to 50 mm. FaceTite and NeckTite, introduced in 2012, use 10 cm cannulas with 1.8 mm and 2.2 mm diameters. AccuTite, launched in April 2019, uses a 0.9 mm cannula 60 mm long. The prospectus lists BodyTite 20W and BodyTite 40W handpiece clearances (K163190 and K171593), FaceTite under K151793 and AccuTite under K182325, and it also lists Fractora and Morpheus8 clearances on the BodyTite platform, so some consoles were sold with fractional RF handpieces too.

GUDID treats several InMode consoles as color variants of one RF system, so the name on the label matters. The GUDID record for the BodyTite console describes it as InModeRF Color 2, BodyTite, Black-Grey, while the Contoura version is Color 3, Black-Blue. A later BodyTite Pro, model AG604881A, has its own GUDID entry. EmbraceRF, launched in 2018, ran FaceTite, AccuTite and Morpheus8. Check the label for the exact name and model number.

The RFAL handpieces are consumables. The prospectus calls BodyTite, FaceTite and NeckTite consumable handpieces, and GUDID lists FaceTite and AccuTite packs as single use. Sealed, in date packs are worth listing separately; opened ones are not. Buyers will want photos of the serial label, the touchscreen, the foot switch and the cables, plus the software version, service history and a note on whether the unit powers up without errors. Say which handpiece types the console has been used with.
