Lumenis LightSheer Quattro

The Lumenis LightSheer QUATTRO is a compact diode laser system that offers two wavelengths, 805 nm and 1060 nm. Lumenis lists hair removal, wrinkle reduction and benign pigmented and vascular lesions among its indications, and the two wavelengths are intended to cover a wide range of hair types and skin tones. Lumenis describes it as portable, with a compact footprint.

The system supports three handpiece types, each made in an 805 nm or a 1060 nm version, for six possible handpieces in total. The High Speed handpiece has a 22 by 35 mm spot and uses vacuum assistance, drawing the skin into the handpiece, and it is used without gel on large body areas. The XC handpiece has a 12 by 12 mm spot and the ET handpiece a 9 by 9 mm spot. Both use ChillTip sapphire contact cooling and are meant for smaller areas or where higher fluence is needed.

Because handpieces come in two wavelengths and three sizes, the handpiece set defines what a particular QUATTRO can do. A console with High Speed handpieces at both wavelengths is a different system on the resale market from one with a single XC handpiece. The QUATTRO also shares its handpiece family with other LightSheer systems such as the DESIRE and DUET, so check the console label to confirm which model you have.

When you list your QUATTRO, name each handpiece with its wavelength and spot size, and note any with damaged windows or worn cables. Buyers will ask for the pulse counts, the service history, the software version and the condition of the vacuum system. Photos of the serial number label, the main screen and each handpiece help a dealer confirm the configuration before making an offer.
