Lumenis Geneo

Geneo is a facial treatment platform made by Pollogen, the Israeli company whose acquisition Lumenis completed in November 2015. Pollogen describes the original Geneo as combining three technologies in one device: TriPollar radiofrequency, OxyGeneo and ultrasound. OxyGeneo is Pollogen's exfoliation and oxygenation method, and it works with single capsules called OxyPods. Pollogen says each OxyPod holds active ingredients in a suspended state that are activated only by the Geneo Primer Gel, and a Geneo Serum completes each treatment kit.

The configuration sold in the United States is different. Pollogen states that Geneo is offered in the US as the Geneo+ U, which it describes as a microdermabrasion system with OxyGeneo and ultrasound plus a massager head, without the RF applicator. The later Geneo X adds a fourth technology, electrical skin activation, to OxyGeneo, TriPollar RF and ultrasound. FDA cleared the GENEO X ELITE under K233766 in May 2024 as a tabletop console with two applicators: a TriPollar RF applicator using bipolar RF for mild to moderate facial wrinkles in Fitzpatrick skin types I to IV, and an OxyGeneo applicator classed as a powered massager. A second GENEO X ELITE clearance, K242227, followed in October 2025.

Names on the paperwork vary. FDA's device identifier database lists an RF PRO handpiece kit, formerly branded the TriPollar RF Applicator, for the Geneo X system, formerly branded ELITE, under the brand names GENEO, GLO2FACIAL and ELITE. In practice, a US console with only OxyGeneo and ultrasound is a Geneo+ U, a US console with an RF applicator is a Geneo X ELITE, and electrical skin activation appears only on the Geneo X.

Tell buyers which applicators come with the console and photograph the model label, since the US configuration lacks the RF applicator found on international Geneo units. Include the number of unopened OxyPods, Primer Gel and Serum on hand with their expiration dates, and note the condition of each applicator head and its cable. Add the service history and photos of the screen.
