The Alma Veil is a dual wavelength vascular laser that Alma, a Sisram Medical company, launched in the U.S. in July 2023. Its FDA filing describes a flashlamp-pumped Nd:YAG laser that emits at 1064 nm and 532 nm. Sisram's launch announcement positioned 532 nm for superficial vascular conditions and 1064 nm for deeper vessels, with a MicroPulse mode as a third function, all through one handpiece. Alma calls its beam delivery DermaCore and says it departs from the conventional flat-top beam profile.

The FDA cleared a 510(k) under the Alma Veil name, K251094, on May 6, 2025. The submitter was Won Tech Co., Ltd. of Daejeon, Korea. The summary describes a main body, an optical fiber cable, a handpiece the user cannot detach, a tip, a footswitch and a cable cradle, with spot sizes from 2 to 12 mm, repetition rates up to 10 Hz, a 635 nm aiming beam, and a handpiece with built-in skin cooling and a sapphire window. Cleared uses at 1064 nm include benign vascular and pigmented lesions, hair reduction and inflammatory acne. At 532 nm, the clearance covers vascular and cutaneous lesions.

The predicate for that clearance is Won Tech's own V-Laser, K231054, cleared August 14, 2023. The summary lists the changes from the V-Laser as a darker gray main unit and handpiece, an added tip holder, a mesh-type fiber cable, a revised user interface, a different footswitch color and a NEMA L6-20P plug. A console labeled V-Laser is that predicate, not a Veil, and neither has an intense pulsed light source.

The screen reports the number of pulses delivered, so a photo of that counter is the first thing a dealer will ask for. Because the handpiece stays attached to the fiber, inspect the two together for kinks, cracks or a chipped sapphire window. The system runs on 220 to 230 volts, and service records showing flashlamp replacement dates help set the offer.
