Alma BeautiFill

The Alma BeautiFill is a laser-assisted liposuction and fat harvesting system that uses a 1470 nm diode laser. Alma announced its global launch on April 4, 2019, describing a single procedure that combines laser-assisted liposuction with processing of the harvested fat for autologous transfer. Alma's brochures title the product "BeautiFill by LipoLife" and refer to the system by both names, so a manual, invoice or service report for the same unit can carry either one.

Laser energy reaches the tissue through Alma's Angel radial emission fiber, which sits inside a perforated-tip Mercedes cannula and emits in a 360 degree pattern. That pairing lets the physician apply laser energy and suction at the same time. The cart also handles the fluid side of the case: a peristaltic pump for tumescent infiltration, two aspiration pumps for suction, and a canister for waste fluid. Alma's equipment list adds Angel fibers in several diameters, a multi-use LipoTight fiber with a stripping and cleaving set, sterile tubing, disposable waste bags and a selection of more than 15 cannulas, including basket and double Mercedes styles.

Those built-in pumps are the easiest way to separate a BeautiFill from Alma's other 1470 nm hardware. The Alma Diode Tabletop Laser, cleared by the FDA under K212073 in July 2022, carries 810, 980 and 1470 nm modules, and that clearance lists laser assisted lipolysis and endovenous occlusion among its 1470 nm indications. A console that offers more than one wavelength is therefore a tabletop diode laser, not a BeautiFill.

A dealer looking at a used BeautiFill wants to know that both aspiration pumps pull steady vacuum and that the peristaltic pump runs cleanly. Count the cannulas and note their sizes, list any unopened fibers and tubing kits, and confirm that the LipoTight fiber and cleaving tools are still in the case. Service records and photos of the serial label, the front panel and the full accessory set round out a listing.
