Alma Accent Ultra
Sell your used Alma Accent Ultra.
The Accent Ultra belongs to Alma's Accent family of radiofrequency consoles. The family started with the original Accent, cleared by the FDA under K070004 on April 23, 2007, a console with UniPolar and Bipolar handpieces whose tips use thermoelectric cooling, for non-invasive treatment of wrinkles and rhytids. The Accent XL followed under K072699 in October 2007. Alma's later filings give the family's RF frequency as 40.68 MHz.
The FDA device database lists an Accent Ultra V II System under K072699. It also lists a set of Ultra V handpieces: Unilarge Thermometer, Bipolar Thermometer, UniBody, UltraBody, Uniface, Ultraface and Pixel RF. One more part, the Accent Ultra V/Prime Speed handpiece, is filed under K160075, the 2016 clearance that added a 1 MHz therapeutic ultrasound handpiece to the Accent XL. Its name shows the same part was supplied for the later Accent Prime.
Several Accent consoles look alike, so read the label. The Accent Elite, cleared under K101147 on January 21, 2011, used Bipolar, UniLarge and UniForm modules, with the UniForm adding a massage mechanism and an indication for temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The FDA database also has separate system records for the Accent XLi, Accent VShape and Accent Prime, each with its own handpiece names. A console labeled Ultra V that came with UltraBody and Ultraface handpieces matches this page.
Because the handpieces define what an Accent Ultra can do, list each one by the name printed on it and note whether it powers up and reads temperature where it has a thermometer. Check the cooling, the umbilical cables and connectors, and the condition of any Pixel RF tips. This is an older console, so a buyer will also ask for the service history and whether any handpiece has been repaired. Photos of the system label, the screen and each handpiece help.
