Venus Concept Venus Versa Pro

The Venus Versa Pro is the updated version of Venus Concept's Versa multi-application platform. It combines intense pulsed light, fractional radiofrequency resurfacing and (MP)2, Venus Concept's pairing of multipolar radiofrequency with pulsed electromagnetic fields, in one console. The FDA cleared it on September 11, 2023 as a special 510(k), K232192, with the original Venus Versa as the predicate.

The change from the Versa is narrow but matters for resurfacing. K232192 added the 80 pin tip from the Viva MD, cleared earlier under K201164, and updated the software so the system recognizes it. The 80 pin tip delivers up to 124 mJ per pin, compared with 62 mJ per pin for the 160 pin tip used on the original Versa. Everything else carries over: SR515 and SR580 IPL applicators for benign pigmented and vascular lesions, HR650, HR690 and their XL versions for hair removal, the ACDUAL for acne, DiamondPolar and OctiPolar (MP)2 applicators for facial wrinkles, and the fractional radiofrequency applicator at 0.46 MHz.

From the outside a Versa Pro looks like a Versa. Venus Concept lists the same 55 by 65 by 110 cm console and 35 kg weight for both. The FDA device database lists the Versa Pro as model VE102408 and the Versa as VE102407, so the model number on the label is the clearest test. Software that accepts the 80 pin tip is a second check.

The 80 pin and 160 pin tips are detachable and single use, so list any unopened tips of each size apart from the system. Because applicators were sold one at a time, write out exactly which of the ten your unit includes by printed code, and note the condition of the IPL light guides. Buyers will also ask for the service history, the software version and the date of manufacture, which they can read from a photo of the serial label. Add photos of the main screen and each applicator.
