Venus Concept Venus Bliss

The Venus Bliss is a body contouring console from Venus Concept that drives two kinds of applicator. Four diode laser applicators work at 1064 nm, and a single (MP)2 applicator combines bipolar radiofrequency with pulsed magnetic fields and vacuum. The FDA cleared the system under K190743 on June 25, 2019. The laser side is cleared for non-invasive lipolysis of the abdomen and flanks in people with a BMI of 30 or less, and the (MP)2 applicator for temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite, relief of minor muscle aches and spasm, and temporary improvement of local blood circulation.

According to the 510(k) summary, each laser applicator has a 6 by 6 cm head with a sapphire light guide, LED contact sensors and built-in contact cooling. Belts hold the applicators on the body, and the diode modules sit in the console, feeding the applicators by fiber. Output is continuous at up to 1.4 W/cm2, and the console includes a water cooling system for the lasers and a vacuum pump. The (MP)2 applicator runs at 1 MHz over a 38.5 cm2 footprint, with 15 Gauss magnetic pulses at 15 Hz and suction to -400 mbar. The 2019 filing lists 100 W of RF output for it, while Venus Concept's current Bliss page quotes up to 150 W.

Venus Concept's annual report describes the Venus Bliss Max as four diode laser applicators, one (MP)2 applicator and four FlexMAX electrical muscle stimulation applicators. If your system has no FlexMAX pads or EMS programs, it is a Bliss.

A complete Bliss has five applicators plus the belts. Check each laser window for chips, confirm the cooling water circuit runs without alarms and test the (MP)2 suction. Venus Concept says the Bliss has built-in internet connectivity, so ask how the account will transfer. Provide service records and photos of the serial label, the screen and each applicator.
