Venus Concept Venus Legacy

The Venus Legacy is a floor console from Venus Concept that delivers multipolar radiofrequency at 1 MHz together with pulsed magnetic fields at 15 Hz, an approach the company calls (MP)2. On its body and face applicators it adds VariPulse, a software controlled pulsed vacuum. Two US clearances cover the platform. The Legacy BX, cleared under K142910 on December 19, 2014, uses the OctiPolar and DiamondPolar applicators for moderate to severe facial wrinkles in women with Fitzpatrick skin types I to IV. The Legacy CX, cleared under K143554 on August 4, 2015, adds vacuum applicators for temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite, relief of minor muscle aches and spasm, and temporary improvement of local blood circulation.

A third clearance, K191528 on September 6, 2019, covered the Legacy Pro, which connects all four applicators to one console: OctiPolar (LB1), DiamondPolar (LF1), 4D Body (LB2) and 4D Face (LF2). The BX filing lists up to 150 W of RF, a 15 Gauss magnetic field, a cabinet of 40 by 40 by 100 cm and a weight of 40 kg. Venus Concept's product page gives the 4D Body electrode spacing up to 7.5 cm, four suction levels on both 4D applicators and skin temperature sensors on all four.

The applicator set tells you which version you have. OctiPolar and DiamondPolar alone match the BX, which its clearance describes as a Freeze (MP)2 in a new housing. The two 4D applicators alone match the CX, and all four together match the Pro. The FDA device database lists the Venus Legacy under model LE120004, with separate 100, 120 and 240 V versions.

A dealer will ask you to confirm that each 4D applicator pulls suction at every level and that every applicator reports skin temperature. Check electrode surfaces and cables for wear. State the voltage on the label, the service history and whether the touchscreen starts cleanly. Photos of the serial label, the main screen and each applicator settle most questions.
