Fotona SP Dynamis Max

SP Dynamis Max is the US name for Fotona's Dynamis Max, a laser workstation that combines a 2940 nm Er:YAG laser and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser in one console. Fotona's brochure rates the Er:YAG at 20 W and 3 J and the Nd:YAG at 80 W and 50 J. On the Er:YAG side it lists MSP, SP, LP, VLP, XLP, SMOOTH and TURBO modes, and on the Nd:YAG side FRAC3, VERSA, PIANO and QCW, the quasi continuous mode used with surgical fibers. In a May 2025 announcement Fotona called the Dynamis Max its most recent launch.

Two features are built into the console. DMC dry spray cooling sprays water from the handpieces and scanner, with an optional connection for external cold air. Dynamic Vacuum Technology adds intermittent suction through the SphereVac system and its applicators, which come in four sizes.

The accessory list is long. Nd:YAG items include the R35-Nx handpiece with spots of 2 to 20 mm and automatic detection, the Nx-Runner scanner with 6, 9 and 11 mm spots, the S11 scanner, the L-Runner Pro, the MarcCo S, M and L collimated handpieces and the R27 and R27C surgical fiber handpieces. Er:YAG items include the R11, PS03X, PEN 1.0 D, FS01, R04, T-Runner, F-Runner and X-Restart. Gynecology options include the G-Runner scanner and the R09-2G and R09-2Gu handpieces. The brochure gives the regulatory model as SP Dynamis M021-4AF/3, the same number the FDA device database uses for SP Dynamis. Fotona's SP Dynamis Nx Line also offers DMC and Dynamic Vacuum, so go by the name on the console and the startup screen rather than the label number.

List each handpiece and scanner by its engraved part number, along with the vacuum applicators and any surgical or gynecology kits. Dealers will ask about the arm, Nd:YAG fiber, flashlamp service for both lasers, software version and service history.
