Quanta System Youlaser MT

The Quanta System Youlaser MT is a hybrid resurfacing laser that pairs a 10,600 nm CO2 source with a 1540 nm source, which Quanta describes as a GaAs laser. Quanta calls the CO2 source an RF pumped laser. The two beams share one delivery system and can fire coaxially, sequentially or simultaneously, with separate controls for each. Quanta's Mixed Technology places both wavelengths in the same micro dot so the operator can adjust the balance between ablative and non ablative effects. The system has Surgical, Fractional and Shelase modes.

The main accessory is OptiScan, a fractional scanner handpiece with its own glass touch screen for setting treatment parameters, supported by OptiSim, a simulator that estimates treatment depth and density for given settings. Surgical handpieces come in several spot sizes. Shelase is a gynecological scanner, and a vulvar accessory is also offered.

In the United States, the FDA records found for the earlier Youlaser cover CO2 only. Youlaser CO2 was cleared under K111592 in August 2011 as a 30 W system, its fractional scanning use was cleared under K123573 in April 2013, and K182669 in October 2018 added the OptiScan scanner, a fingerswitch on the scanner and a new interface. The newer Youlaser PRIME family, cleared under K241092 in October 2024, includes a PRIME MT that pairs CO2 at up to 50 W with a 1550 nm fiber laser at up to 15 W and uses an OptiScan PRIME scanner. A 1540 nm unit is a Youlaser MT, while a 1550 nm unit with PRIME on the label is the newer model.

Buyers will check which scanners are included, OptiScan, Shelase or both, and whether the vulvar accessory and surgical handpieces are present. Provide the service history for both laser sources, the software version, and photos of the serial label and main screen showing both wavelengths, so a dealer can confirm this is the MT and not a CO2 only Youlaser.
