Chrome is a Q-switched Nd:YAG platform from Quanta System that the company markets as a Lase-Station. Quanta's company history dates its launch to 2020, and the FDA cleared it under K202503 on November 18, 2020. The 510(k) summary describes a family of Q-switched and pulsed Nd:YAG sources at 1064 and 532 nm. Through Quanta's universal Twain connector the console can also drive Twain IPL handpieces, with cut-on filters from 400 to 650 nm and output up to 1200 nm, and Er:YAG 2940 nm handpieces. Laser energy travels through an articulated arm, and a footswitch fires the laser.

Quanta lists up to three laser modalities: Q-switched, Opti-Pulse and pulsed. Optional accessories include the OptiZoom variable spot handpiece, the NaturaPeel handpiece for cream-assisted laser peels, the Microbeam HC and Microbeam DF fractional handpieces, and the Rosso, an active 694 nm Q-switched handpiece cleared separately under K211228. The clearance covers light and dark tattoo inks, benign vascular and pigmented lesions, and resurfacing with the microbeam handpieces, while the pulsed 1064 nm mode covers vascular lesions, wrinkles and hair reduction. The console has a rotating 10.4 inch screen.

Chrome sits next to two other Quanta lines that share Twain accessories. The Q-Plus EVO series offers ruby and alexandrite configurations, and the Discovery Pico series has picosecond output, which Chrome lacks. DEKA's TORO, from the El.En. group that owns Quanta, matches Chrome's nanosecond specifications in its FDA filing but adds a 785 nm picosecond source.

List every module that came with the unit or was added later, because a Chrome with Rosso, Twain IPL and microbeam handpieces is a very different offer from a base console. Buyers will also ask about the arm and handpiece optics, the shot counts, the software version and the service history.
