Quanta System Suprema

Suprema is a family of pulsed laser platforms from Quanta System for vascular lesions, hair reduction and wrinkle treatment. The family uses up to three wavelengths: 532 nm, 755 nm and 1064 nm. The FDA cleared the family under K223404 on January 20, 2023. That summary lists five models, which differ only in their installed laser sources. Duetto Suprema has 1064 nm Nd:YAG and 755 nm alexandrite. Domino Suprema has the alexandrite alone. Suprema VT has 1064 nm only. Suprema VT+ adds pulsed 532 nm to the 1064 nm source. Suprema 4V carries all three sources.

All models deliver energy through optical fibers to handpieces with fixed or variable spots. The handpieces are used only inside a Skin Cooler housing, on units with the integrated cooler, or a Skin Cryo housing that works with an external Zimmer Cryo 6 air cooler. Quanta's product page lists zoom optics of 2.5 to 6 mm and 8 to 20 mm, and fixed optics of 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22 mm. Twain IPL and Twain 2940 Er:YAG handpieces connect to extend the indications.

The Suprema filing cross-references each model to a predecessor in the EVO Light series. Duetto Suprema corresponds to Light A Star, Suprema VT to Light B, Suprema VT+ to Light C, Suprema 4V to Light 4V, and Domino Suprema to Domino. Because the two families line up model for model, sellers sometimes describe an older Light unit as a Suprema or the reverse. The rating label settles it.

For an accurate offer, give the exact model name from the label and list the wavelengths the screen offers. Name every zoom and fixed optic, say whether the unit has the integrated Skin Cooler or relies on an external air cooler, and note any Twain handpieces. Buyers will check the fibers, the handpiece windows and the service records for each source.
