Quanta System Light EVO

Light EVO is Quanta System's name for its Light Series on the EVO platform. These multi-wavelength lasers are built on solid state alexandrite and Nd:YAG sources. Depending on the model, a unit can carry up to four wavelengths: 755 nm alexandrite, 1064 nm Nd:YAG, frequency-doubled 532 nm Nd:YAG, and an optional 1320 nm Nd:YAG. Quanta says the sources can be combined into as many as ten EVO models. The FDA first cleared the EVO Platform under K152012 in December 2015. That summary says every EVO model shares the same components and control software and differs only in the optical bench that holds the installed sources.

Quanta lists a 16 A draw and a 10.4 inch glass touchscreen. Cooling comes from an integrated contact cooler that can run with or without a sapphire window at three temperatures, or from an Air SkinCryo adapter connected to an external cold air unit. On the EVO platform, pulsed sources reach the skin through an optical fiber and focusing handpieces. A Twain connector accepts optional Twain IPL handpieces, with cut-on filters from 400 to 650 nm, and the Twain 2940 Er:YAG handpiece.

Because so many variants exist, the exact model name matters more than the series name. The 2023 FDA summary for Quanta's newer Suprema family cross-references several Light models: Light A Star with 1064 and 755 nm, Light B with 1064 nm only, Light C with 1064 and 532 nm, Light 4V with all three, and the Domino with 755 nm.

To get an accurate offer, photograph the rating label that names the model and list the wavelengths the screen offers. Note whether the 1320 nm option is installed and which Twain handpieces are included. Buyers will check the condition of the delivery fiber and handpieces, whether the cooling works, and the service history for each laser source.
