Cutera truSculpt iD
Sell your used Cutera truSculpt iD.

The Cutera truSculpt iD is a monopolar radiofrequency body sculpting system that Cutera introduced in July 2018 as a hands-free version of its truSculpt platform. The console delivers RF energy at 1 MHz and 2 MHz, up to 300 W, and its handpieces heat the subcutaneous tissue while sensors monitor skin temperature. FDA cleared the truSculpt iD under K221407 in July 2022 and K223110 in November 2022. The 2 MHz setting on the 40 cm2 handpiece is cleared for reduction in abdominal circumference and noninvasive lipolysis of the abdomen, alongside general tissue heating indications.
Cutera lists three compatible handpieces: a hands-free 40 cm2 handpiece at 2 MHz, a handheld 40 cm2 at 2 MHz, and a handheld 16 cm2 at 1 MHz. The November 2022 clearance added a small 2 cm2 handheld applicator. Hands-free handpieces attach with adhesive patient decals and a silicone cummerbund, and the system uses hydrogel neutral electrode pads. The FDA summary gives hands-free coverage of 40 to 240 cm2, which works out to as many as six 40 cm2 hands-free handpieces on one patient. A stainless steel truGlide massage roller covers the cellulite indication.
Cutera has sold several RF generations under the truSculpt name. The original truSculpt launched in August 2012 and delivered treatments at 1 MHz, and the truSculpt 3D that followed in 2017 was a 2 MHz handheld system with a refillable consumable handpiece. A console that runs handpieces strapped to the body with belts and decals is the iD. The truSculpt flex, sold alongside it, uses electrical muscle stimulation instead of heat and has electrode pairs rather than RF handpieces.
The iD runs on consumable treatment cycles that the practice orders from Cutera after a set number of treatments, so the remaining cycle balance shown on the screen matters to a buyer. Count the hands-free handpieces and note which handheld sizes are included. Check the umbilical cables and handpiece faces. Include the software version, service records, and photos of the serial label.
