Cutera truSculpt flex

The Cutera truSculpt flex is a bio-electrical muscle stimulation system that Cutera introduced in June 2019 for strengthening, firming and toning the muscles of the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. The console sends electrical impulses through electrodes placed on the skin over the target muscle groups, and Cutera calls its stimulation pattern Multi-Directional Stimulation. The hardware is made by contract manufacturer Johari Digital Healthcare, now Syrma Johari MedTech, which holds the FDA clearances, including K212866 for the updated truSculpt flex.
That FDA summary describes a touchscreen console with eight handpiece pairs, made of stainless steel reusable electrodes. Pairs are held on the patient with disposable hydrogel pads and reusable transparent silicone belts. The software offers PREP, TONE and SCULPT modes across two treatment types: Classic, which runs 45 minutes, and flex+, which runs 15 minutes. PREP is available only in Classic treatments.
Sellers often list this console as truSculpt flex+, but Cutera introduced flex+ in 2021 as a treatment mode that shortened sessions from about 45 minutes to 15, not as a separate machine. The K212866 update also changed electrode size and type, added outputs, added the hydrogel pads and silicone belts, and renamed the treatment modes, so an early unit can look different from a later one. Cutera later renamed the product truFlex, and a 2025 clearance under that name (K251594) kept the eight handpiece pairs while adding indications such as relaxation of muscle spasms and muscle re-education. The truSculpt iD is a separate RF system that Cutera pairs with this device under the truBody name.
Cutera's filings describe a consumable handpiece that must be refilled after a set number of treatments, so a buyer will want to see the remaining treatment balance on the screen. Confirm that all eight handpiece pairs are present, check the electrodes and cables for damage, and count the silicone belts. A photo of the serial label, the software version and any service records complete the picture.
