Wontech SANDRO DUAL

SANDRO DUAL is a long pulse laser from Wontech that puts a 755 nm alexandrite laser and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser in one console. Wontech lists it as a 755 nm alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. Each source is a flashlamp excited solid state laser. The system is made up of the laser resonators, a touch screen monitor, an optical fiber with a handpiece, and a footswitch. The FDA first cleared SANDRO DUAL under K200110 in March 2020 with Candela's GentleMAX family as predicate, and cleared an updated version under K252877 in December 2025.

The cleared uses at 755 nm include hair reduction, benign pigmented lesions, wrinkles and vascular lesions such as port wine stains and telangiectasias. At 1064 nm they include hair reduction on Fitzpatrick types I to VI including tanned skin, pseudofolliculitis barbae, vascular and pigmented lesions, and a temporary increase of clear nail in onychomycosis. The 2025 filing names the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus and Illoda's PENTO as additional predicates.

The two clearances describe different output levels, which matters when you identify a unit. The 2020 version lists maximum outputs of 50 J at 755 nm and 80 J at 1064 nm, with spot sizes from 2 to 20 mm. The 2025 version raises those to 60 J and 90 J and adds 22 mm and 25 mm spots. If your handpiece set includes a 22 or 25 mm option, you are looking at the later model. Repetition rates in the 2025 filing run from 0.5 to 10 Hz.

With two laser sources, a buyer will ask about each one separately: flashlamp age, pulse counts and any power calibration done on each cavity. The fiber and handpiece carry both wavelengths, so describe their condition and list every spot size you have. Photograph the serial label, the start screen with any counters, and each handpiece, and mention whether service records come with the system.
