Wontech PASTELLE PRO

PASTELLE PRO is Wontech's expanded Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, sold alongside the standard PASTELLE and listed by the Korean maker as a Q-switched 1064 nm and 532 nm system. Like the base model it uses a laser head with two Nd:YAG rods and two xenon flashlamps in a water cooled housing. Output reaches the skin through an articulated arm and handpiece, and a footswitch triggers each pulse. The FDA cleared it under K241527 in February 2025, with Lutronic's HOLLYWOOD SPECTRA, the Lucid Q-PTP and the Chrome system as predicates.

The PRO's clearance lists more operating modes than any other PASTELLE filing. Genesis long pulse runs from 100 to 5,000 mJ with 80 to 300 microsecond pulses. Nanosecond 1064 nm runs from 50 to 1,200 mJ, PTP from 600 to 2,000 mJ, and the Triple and 2x PTP modes from 1,000 to 1,400 mJ. The 532 nm mode covers 30 to 500 mJ and a 1064 nm DOE mode 60 to 900 mJ. Optional dye handpieces convert the 532 nm beam to 595 nm or 660 nm, at lower repetition rates than the main modes. Cleared uses include tattoo removal, Nevus of Ota, melasma and pigmented lesions, plus wrinkles and acne in Genesis mode.

The handpiece set is the clearest way to separate a PRO from a PASTELLE. The PRO filing lists a 2 to 10 mm zoom handpiece, a 7 mm collimated handpiece, a microlens array handpiece from 3 to 8 mm, a DOE handpiece with square spots from 5 by 5 to 7 by 7 mm, and a 3 mm dye handpiece. The standard PASTELLE's clearances list only zoom and DOE spots and no Triple mode.

List every handpiece, and say which dye handpieces are present, since they are optional. A buyer will ask about flashlamp age, the pulse counter, articulated arm alignment and the cooling system. Photograph the serial label, the mode menu and each handpiece label.
