LAVIEEN is a fractional thulium laser from Wontech, a laser manufacturer based in Daejeon, South Korea. It emits at 1927 nm, and Wontech files it under its toning lasers as a 1927 nm thulium fractional laser. The beam leaves the console through an optical fiber that ends in a handpiece, firing is controlled by a footswitch, and a 658 nm red aiming beam shows where the energy will land. Parameters are set on a built-in touch screen. The FDA cleared LAVIEEN under K223727 in August 2023, comparing it with Lutronic's LASEMD and the Joule system, and cleared a revised build under K241406 in June 2024.

Both US filings give the same output figures: 10 W maximum power, pulse durations of 0.1 to 20 ms, repetition rates from 67 to 240 Hz and a 300 micron spot. The cleared indications are dermatological procedures requiring coagulation of soft tissue, actinic keratosis, and benign pigmented lesions such as lentigos and freckles. A June 2026 report on its South African approval describes LAVIEEN as a low power fractional device that is also approved in Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, China, Türkiye and Australia.

Owners often cannot say which build they have, and the 2024 filing spells out the changes. The later console has its circuit breaker exposed on the back panel, a reshaped top case, and a fiber holder and handpiece pouch that the first version lacked. Wontech also began fitting either a 10 W or a 15 W laser module, with software limiting both to 10 W.

Every pulse passes through the fiber, so a buyer will check it for kinks, crushed sections and a clean connector, and confirm the aiming beam is visible. Note whether the handpiece tip and pouch are included. Photograph the serial label with its build date, the start screen showing the software version, and the back panel, which shows at a glance whether the breaker is exposed.
