Wontech PASTELLE

PASTELLE is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser made by Wontech in South Korea, listed by the company as a Q-switched 1064 nm and 532 nm Nd:YAG system. Its laser head holds two Nd:YAG rods and two xenon flashlamps inside a water cooled housing, with a power supply, cooling system and delivery system around it. The FDA first cleared it under K123293 in April 2013, when the maker was registered as Won Technology Co., Ltd. A second clearance, K250165, followed in July 2025 and named the 2013 PASTELLE, the PASTELLE PRO and Lutronic's HOLLYWOOD SPECTRA as predicates.

The two clearances describe noticeably different machines. The 2013 version lists a 2 to 10 mm zoom spot, a Genesis long pulse mode at 100 to 2,000 mJ with 250 to 350 microsecond pulses, and nanosecond 1064 nm and 532 nm modes. The 2025 version keeps the zoom range, raises Genesis to 3,500 mJ with pulses of 80 to 480 microseconds, and adds a 1064 nm PTP mode up to 1,600 mJ and a DOE mode with square spots from 5 by 5 mm to 7 by 7 mm. Nanosecond pulses run from 4 to 48 ns at up to 10 Hz. The 2025 indications include tattoo removal, Nevus of Ota, melasma and pigmented lesions, plus wrinkles and acne in Genesis mode.

PASTELLE PRO is a separate model whose clearance adds a 7 mm collimated handpiece, a microlens array handpiece, and Triple and 2x PTP modes. Without those, you have a PASTELLE, and a unit lacking PTP and DOE as well matches the 2013 description.

Two flashlamps and two rods mean a buyer will ask about lamp age and the shot count shown on screen. Report the coolant level and any leak or temperature warnings, list each handpiece and spot option you have, and photograph the serial label and mode screen.
