BTL Emface
Sell your used BTL Emface.
Emface is BTL's hands-free facial system. Instead of a handheld tip, it uses adhesive single-use applicators that combine monopolar radiofrequency heating with electrical muscle stimulation. In FDA filings the Emface hardware is the BTL-785-7 controller and its hands-free applicators, and the GUDID record for the EMFACE controller, model BTL-785-7, was first published in August 2022. FDA's 510(k) for the BTL-785X console, K222556, decided May 31, 2023, covers forehead and cheek applicators for heating and for non-invasive temporary reduction of facial wrinkles.
The applicator range has grown in stages. The forehead (BTL-785-7-1) and cheek (BTL-785-7-2) pads came first. A March 2024 clearance, K233604, added the BTL-785-7-9 single-use applicator for the appearance of lax tissue under the chin, and a March 2026 clearance, K253750, added the BTL-785-7-11 for lax tissue around the eyes. The 2023 GUDID record for the controller adds product code NFO, the code FDA used for BTL's September 2023 clearance of the BTL-785BNF stimulation handpiece, which comes with a holding arm, connection cables and a patient discomfort button.
Emface is easy to confuse with Exion because both belong to BTL's BTL-785 console family. The same console type also accepts the Exion body, face and fractional radiofrequency applicators, so one cart can carry both products. The model on the console label, such as BTL-785F, BTL-785X or BTL-785S, identifies which clearance generation the unit belongs to.
Because every Emface treatment consumes applicators, a buyer will want to know how many sealed forehead, cheek, chin and eye applicators come with the system and their expiration dates. List any Exion applicators on the same console. Photograph the serial labels on the console and on the Emface controller, the holding arm and its joints, and the cables. The software version, which applicator types the treatment menu offers, and service records round out what a dealer needs before quoting.
