Syneron eStyle

The Syneron eStyle is a light and radiofrequency system that Syneron designed for medical spas and aestheticians. Like other Syneron elos devices it delivers broad spectrum light and bipolar RF together, but it has no diode laser. Syneron's annual reports list the eStyle as a light plus RF platform for hair removal, skin appearance, acne and wrinkle treatment with the ST applicator, aimed at aestheticians and spas, with market introduction outside the United States in the first quarter of 2006.

Syneron's specification page lists two main light applicators, DS for hair removal at 680 to 980 nm and SR for skin rejuvenation at 580 to 980 nm. RF energy runs from 5 to 25 J/cm3, light fluence up to 45 J/cm2, the treated area is 12 by 25 mm, the repetition rate is 0.7 Hz and contact cooling holds the skin at 5 degrees Celsius. The platform weighs 25 kg and measures 90 by 38 by 38 cm. Syneron's product page also lists ReFirme skin tightening, which uses the ST applicator, and an optional acne applicator.

The eStyle sits between several Syneron light plus RF systems. The Aurora was Syneron's first light plus RF platform, from 2001. The Galaxy, launched in 2004, adds 900 nm diode laser heads to the light heads, and the eLight, also introduced in 2006, is a light plus RF platform aimed at physicians. The DS and SR light figures on the eStyle match those on the Galaxy light heads, so the model label on the console is the reliable way to identify the unit.

For a used eStyle, list which applicators are included, by their DS, SR or ST codes or as the acne applicator, with photos of each applicator's treatment surface and cable. Dealers will ask whether the system starts without errors, whether the cooling works, how the applicators have been serviced, and the year on the serial label. Because the design dates from 2006, confirm who services it now.
