The Syneron eLaser is an aesthetic platform that combines a diode laser with bipolar radiofrequency, the pairing Syneron called elos. Syneron introduced it in the first quarter of 2006 together with the eLight, which pairs RF with broad spectrum light, and the eMax, which carries both kinds of applicator. Syneron's annual reports state that its applications received FDA 510(k) clearance.

Syneron's brochure lists four applicators. The DSL handles hair removal at 810 nm, with RF up to 50 J/cm3, fluence up to 50 J/cm2, a 12 by 15 mm treated area and repetition up to 2 Hz. The WRA, LV and LVA applicators all use a 900 nm diode with RF up to 100 J/cm3: the WRA delivers Syneron's ReFirme wrinkle treatment over a 12 by 8 mm area, the LV treats vascular lesions and leg veins up to 4 mm with fluence up to 140 J/cm2 over 8 by 5 mm, and the LVA reaches 350 J/cm2 over 8 by 2 mm for finer vessels. Syneron added a Matrix IR fractional applicator for the eLaser and eMax in 2007 and later sold the Matrix RF applicator as an add-on for eLight, eLaser and eMax.

The eLaser is easy to confuse with its relatives. The Comet from 2004 is a hair removal system with the same 810 nm and 12 by 15 mm specification as the DSL applicator. The eLight has no diode laser, and the eMax accepts both light and diode applicators. The console label settles it.

Syneron's brochure says owners can swap applicators themselves without tools, so a used eLaser may arrive with any combination. List each applicator by its code, note its condition and cable, and say whether a Matrix IR or Matrix RF applicator is included. Buyers will also want the serial label, the software screen at startup and service history.
