See what it's worth

The Phoenix is a carbon dioxide laser sold by Rohrer Aesthetics, a Homewood, Alabama company, for skin resurfacing. Rohrer markets it for texture, uneven pigmentation, fine lines, moderately deep wrinkles, scars and stretch marks in Fitzpatrick skin types I to III. In the FDA's Global Unique Device Identification Database the unit is listed under the brand name Phoenix CO2 and model Phoenix, with Rohrer Aesthetics, LLC as labeler, a record published in September 2016, and the product code for powered laser surgical instruments with microbeam or fractional output. That record describes the equipment as used for tissue vaporization and coagulation across several surgical specialties. It shows no 510(k) number, and Rohrer's own clearances in the FDA database do not include a Phoenix, so ask the seller for whatever regulatory paperwork came with the unit.

Two delivery features define the system. The Micro-Thermal Zone Scanner lets the operator adjust treatments from a light laser peel to aggressive resurfacing. SwiftScan is an automated hand rejuvenation system that Rohrer sells as an exclusive Phoenix feature and describes as FDA cleared. Because the scanner and the SwiftScan hardware are separate pieces, they are the parts most likely to be missing from a used system, and their presence changes what a dealer can offer.

The Phoenix is not part of a numbered product family, so there are no Phoenix generations to sort out. Rohrer's other resurfacing devices are different machines: ReVive is a 1927 nm thulium laser introduced in 2026, and PiX:E pairs RF microneedling with a 2940 nm Er:YAG laser. A console labeled Phoenix CO2 is this system.

Before making an offer, a buyer will want photos of the model and serial label, the scanner, any SwiftScan components and the delivery arm. Records of service on the laser source, the year of manufacture and whether the system powers up and fires without error messages matter more on a CO2 laser than cosmetic wear. Note any missing accessories, including the footswitch.
