INTRAcel is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling system from Jeisys Medical of Seoul. Jeisys's company history lists the INTRAcel launch in 2009, an INTRAcel PRO model in 2017 and US FDA clearance in 2016. In 2019 Jeisys launched POTENZA, its later RF microneedling platform. FDA's first clearance, K153727 from July 2016, covers the INTRAcel Premium Fractional RF Micro Needle (FRM) System for dermatological and general surgical electrocoagulation and hemostasis, with Lutronic's INFINI as predicate.
The 2016 version works in bipolar mode. The filing lists the main frame, one handpiece with a hanger, a footswitch, a power cable and ten INTRAcel tips. Each tip carries 49 needles, 0.25 mm in diameter, and treatment depth is set at 0.5, 0.8, 1.5 or 2.0 mm. A second clearance, K183284 in January 2020 for the INTRAcel RF Microneedle System, added a monopolar mode that returns current through a neutral electrode pad, alongside bipolar. That filing lists 1 MHz output, 50 W maximum power, 90 V output voltage and a console of 350 by 405 by 1080 mm weighing 63 kg on a 120 V supply.
The INTRAcel name has appeared on several versions, so look for Premium or PRO on the label. A unit with a neutral pad and a monopolar setting matches the 2020 configuration, while a bipolar-only unit matches the 2016 Premium. POTENZA is a separate system and should not be listed under this name.
Every treatment on the 2020 system uses a sterile electrode insertion device, the tip with 49 electrodes and an integrated cable, which FDA's summary says is for single patient use and cannot be resterilized. A buyer will want to know how many sealed tips come with the console and their expiry dates, whether tips are still available from Jeisys, and the condition of the handpiece, the neutral pad cable and the footswitch. Give the software version and service history, with photos of the serial label and the main screen.
