HydraFacial Syndeo

Syndeo is the connected HydraFacial delivery system that The Beauty Health Company introduced in the US in March 2022. It keeps the Vortex-Fusion method of earlier HydraFacial machines: solution travels to the skin through a handpiece fitted with single use HydroPeel tips while vacuum draws used fluid and debris back into a removable waste canister, which the company calls the Gunkie. In the FDA's GUDID database, Syndeo is listed under product code GFE, powered dermabrasion brush.

Much of what sets Syndeo apart is in the software and the tray. The touchscreen sits above a camera and gesture control sensors, and the system selects which of its solution bottles to draw from at each treatment step, with manual override on screen. A smart tray scans consumable vials such as boosters placed on it. Software updates arrive over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Holsters hold the handpiece and lymphatic tubes, and a rear dock accepts a LightStim Elipsa LED device. GUDID records show 120 volt and 240 volt builds in black or white, versions without Perk, and a Dior co-branded model.

Generation matters more than color. In November 2023 the company said it would sell only Syndeo 3.0 units, offered owners of 1.0 and 2.0 devices a free field upgrade to 3.0 standards or a replacement unit, and extended Syndeo warranties by a year. Compared with the HydraFacial MD Elite, Syndeo is shorter at 117 cm and lighter at 30 kg, and it uses on-screen bottle selection instead of the Elite's toggle switches.

Before you sell, find out whether your machine is a 3.0 unit or was upgraded, and keep the paperwork that shows it. Report the software version and the condition of the handpiece and tubing, which the user guide says should be replaced every six months. Mention whether the lymphatic kit and an Elipsa light are included, and photograph the serial label and home screen.
