Sinclair Primelase
Sell your used Sinclair Primelase.
Primelase is the diode laser hair removal platform of Cocoon Medical, built by High Technology Products S.L.U. in Barcelona and part of Sinclair since Sinclair acquired Cocoon Medical in April 2021. Aesthetics Journal covered its UK release in May 2019, describing 755, 810 and 1060 nm wavelengths plus an applicator that combines 810, 940 and 1060 nm. In the US it is sold as the Primelase Excellence, cleared by FDA on August 2, 2019 under K191321 and again in an expanded configuration on December 17, 2020 under K201594. GUDID lists it under catalog number 521028.
The system is a central unit with removable applicators, each containing its own AlGaAs laser diode array. The 2019 clearance describes five applicators covering 755 nm, 810 nm and a blended 810 to 1060 nm output, with rectangular spots listed as 20 by 9, 30 by 9 and 30 by 17. The 2020 clearance added a standalone 1060 nm applicator, a 10 by 10 spot and a higher listed maximum fluence of 120 J/cm2, along with 1060 nm indications for benign vascular lesions such as angiomas, hemangiomas, telangiectasia and leg veins, and for wrinkles. Sinclair calls the outputs Alex, Diode, Blend and Yag. Contact cooling comes through a sapphire tip held at 5 degrees C, pulse duration is 3 to 400 ms, and the platform offers static mode at up to 3 Hz and dynamic mode at 5 to 10 Hz.
A unit with a standalone 1060 nm Yag applicator or a 10 by 10 spot reflects the later configuration, while an early unit may have only Alex, Diode and Blend. The Elysion Pro from the same maker is a smaller sibling with three applicators and windows no larger than 18 by 10 mm.
List every applicator with its wavelength and spot size, since each one carries its own diode array. Buyers also check sapphire tip condition, cooling, the touch screen, the serial label, error history and service records.
