Sharplight Omnimax S4
Sell your used Sharplight Omnimax S4.
The SharpLight Omnimax S4 is a multi-technology aesthetic workstation from SharpLight Technologies of Rishon LeZion, Israel. It combines four energy types on one wheeled base: IPL with SharpLight's Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC), long-pulse infrared light, bipolar and multipolar radiofrequency, and three laser handpieces. FDA cleared the Omnimax S3 and S4 together under K233304 on December 22, 2023. It adds RF handpieces to SharpLight's earlier Dermatological Treatment Device Family clearance. The S4 weighs about 63 kg.
The 510(k) lists a main unit with controller, a control panel, an RF module, a display, a footswitch, a trolley and up to 14 handpieces: seven IPL, two infrared, three laser and two RF. SharpLight's product page names twelve. The DPC handpieces include HR 635, SR 580, AC 420, VP 535 and Dual VP, with a filtered range of roughly 415 to 1200 nm, spots of 1.5 to 6.4 square centimeters and a chilled sapphire tip. The VermaDerm infrared handpieces, IR 3.4 and IR 6.4, cover 850 to 1750 nm. RF Face and RF Body handle radiofrequency. The lasers are a fractional 2940 nm Er:YAG, a long-pulse 1064 nm Nd:YAG and a Q-switched 1064 nm Nd:YAG with a 532 nm frequency doubler.
The Omnimax S3 shares the same platform but has no laser technology. It carries IPL, infrared and RF only, so the presence of laser handpieces is the clearest sign you have an S4. Single-purpose Rapid systems such as RapidQS are separate products.
A buyer will want a list of every handpiece with its serial number, plus flash or pulse counts where the software shows them. Other checks are the sapphire cooling tips for chips, the condition of the Er:YAG scanner and spot tips and the Q-switched spot sizes, and whether the RF handpieces work. Photos of the main label, the screen and each handpiece label help a dealer make a firm offer.
