Fraxel re:store
Sell your used Fraxel re:store.
The Fraxel re:store is a non-ablative fractional laser that uses a 1550 nm erbium fiber source. A scanning handpiece places a grid of microscopic thermal treatment zones in the skin while leaving the surface intact between them. Reliant Technologies, which developed the Fraxel line, gave 2004 as the year the non-ablative system went on sale. That first unit, often called the 750, relied on a blue tint painted on the skin so its Intelligent Optical Tracking system could read the speed of the operator's hand. The following generation, cleared by FDA in May 2007 under K070284 as the Fraxel SR1500 (also filed as the Fraxel II SR), replaced the dye with a roller tip and was later sold as the re:store.
The system pairs a console with one handpiece and a footswitch. Solta's device identifier records list a large Cool Roller tip for the re:store, a small extended roller tip, and an accessory kit shared with the re:fine. One long-time user reported pulse energies of up to 70 mJ per treatment zone, depth up to about 1.4 mm, and a separate Zimmer Cryo 6 cold air unit for skin cooling.
In 2009, clearance K091420 added a second laser at 1925 nm to the SR1500 platform, and the 2010 filing K101490 calls that version the re:store Dual, with 1927 nm delivered through the same handpiece and a US model number of MC-SYS-SR1500-D-US. Solta later renamed the Dual the Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927, and the current Fraxel FTX uses single-use 7 mm and 15 mm tips without rollers. If the screen offers only 1550 nm, the unit is a re:store.
Buyers check that the tracking registers hand movement and that the handpiece window and roller tips are clean and undamaged. Have the footswitch, an unopened supply of tips, and the cooling unit on hand if you are including them. Record the software version and any service history.

Preparing to sell your Fraxel re:store
Record the year, condition, service history, and included handpieces. Take clear photos of your equipment and the screen showing its counters. Include your city and state and when you need the equipment moved.
Resale value depends on remaining consumables and the buyer's access to replacements. Include the number of cycles, cards, or tips remaining.
