See what it's worth

ADVATx is a dual wavelength dermatology laser designed and built by Advalight ApS in Ballerup, Denmark, with a US office in Escondido, California. It is a diode pumped Nd:YAG system with two laser modules, one at 1064 nm and one at 1319 nm. A Q-switch turns the output into a pulse train, and synchronized 1064 nm and 1319 nm pulses pass through a nonlinear LBO crystal to generate yellow 589 nm light. The 1319 nm output is also delivered on its own as continuous wave light. Advalight calls this Soft Pulsing.

FDA first cleared the ADVATx under K132976 on April 17, 2014. A second clearance, K250189 on April 1, 2025, raised the 1319 nm fluence to 60 J/cm2 and added benign pigmented lesions to the 589 nm indications. At 589 nm the system is cleared for benign cutaneous vascular lesions including facial and leg telangiectasia, rosacea, port wine stains and cherry angiomas, as well as inflammatory acne vulgaris, scars, striae and psoriasis. At 1319 nm it is cleared for fine lines and wrinkles, atrophic acne scars and mild to moderate inflammatory acne. Both wavelengths leave the console through one fiber delivered handpiece that contains a scanner and a distance guide, and the 2014 summary gives a scanned area of 5 by 5 mm up to 10 by 10 mm.

There are two handpiece versions. The Classic handpiece takes interchangeable distance pieces and offers advanced and guided interface modes. The PRO adds an elliptical glide scan mode, temperature and motion monitoring, constant power surveillance, live feedback in guided mode, a progress indicator and a post treatment summary. Existing systems can be upgraded to PRO, so the build year alone does not tell you which handpiece a console has.

The cabinet is 127 cm tall and 63 kg. Advalight states the system needs no consumables, so a buyer focuses on whether both wavelengths reach their set output, the handpiece version and fiber condition, software version, error logs and service history.
